Ilaria Zamarian, first woman pilot of the Italian Coast Guard, was born and grown up in Friuli Venezia Giulia, more precisely in Aprilia Marittima, close to Lignano Sabbiadoro. Since she was a child, as many of her peers, she dreamed of flying.
The great determination and the indissoluble strength of mind led her to crown her dream: after graduating with an aeronautical expert at Malignani, in 2005 Ilaria passed the selection of the Naval Academy of Livorno and earned one of the 33 available positions in the whole the country.
For eight months he attended the course for naval officer in Livorno, she perfected her training in the United States, specifically in Florida and Texas, where she attended the pilot course that led her to obtain the Military Pilot License in the 2007.
Today Ilaria is the second pilot of the First Section Helicopters of the Coast Guard of Garda.
For a few months, Ilaria Zamarian has been in charge of the Garda Coast Guard, a task full of stimuli for the management of a newly developed and structurally consolidated center with a staff of 33 servicemen who guarantee the safety of citizens and tourists on Lake Garda.
