Lieutenant Carmela Carbonara
In 2004, after achieving her scientific diploma, she was admitted to the Normal Navy Chief of Staff Course at the National Academy in Livorno, which she successfully completed in July 2009.
She then attended the flight course at the United States Navy School, achieving, in 2011, the Military Pilot licence.
In 2012, destined for the 1st Helicopter Group, she achieved the necessary qualifications for operational flight on helicopter EH-101 in the Heli assault specialty, in support of Special Forces operations.
She was embarked on multiple UUs. NN. as operating pilot and in 2014, as an officer Pilot at Operations, she took part in the Campaign “Periplus of Africa” on Cavour Ship.
She also coordinated the Navy aircrafts as Staff Officer boarded during operations Safe Sea in the waters in front of Libya.
The vessel Lieutenant Carmela Carbonara currently is the Head of the Command Office of the First Helicopter Group. She has more than 700 hours of flight and is enabled on airplanes / helicopters T-34, T-44, TH-57 and EH-101.
She has a partner and a son.
